Our RHAPSODY Dining Chair is fully Made to Order, and features modern profiling and comfortable curves. The classic mid-rise back features a beautiful highly figured single slab, carefully scalloped and shaped with a pleasing curve for your back to rest against for prolonged comfort. The seat features a hand carved recess that nicely holds you in place, and a gently declining angle to allow for better circulation and blood flow with prolonged sitting.
Like most of our pieces, this is available in a variety of hardwoods and colors to fit your special space. Each RHAPSODY Dining Chair will be slightly different, due to the nature of the individual wood slabs and grains, including slight color and pattern variations, naturally. This embrace of nature and artful transformation of timber is what makes our products so unique and refreshing. The sample piece pictured here is handcrafted entirely from American Black Walnut hardwood, with finished dimensions of approximately 33.5” H x 22” D x 18” W.
Hand Rubbed VOC-Free Natural Finish
No color additives or stains are used, and this chair features a hand rubbed finish called Rubio MonoCoat, which is durable, easy to apply, and easy to maintain (as well as spot fix and refinish). Rubio MonoCoat is a plant-based hardwax oil finish that is VOC-free, meaning there are no harmful volatile organic compounds present, and it is LEED verified. This European style hand rubbed finish offers a natural and subtle soft matte finish, allowing you to feel and smell the natural state of the wood itself. We use Rubio products for a variety of reasons, and find that it is best for both highlighting the natural beauty of wood, as well as ease of maintenance over the life of a piece.
