This beautifully hand crafted dining table features spectacular figured curly maple burl wood, harvested from Illinois, with a “fiery copper” epoxy river, complementing the warm and rich tones of this wood slab. The table dimensions as shown are approximately 84″ L x 36″ W x 30″ H.
Table Legs or Base, Customizable
The customer may choose which table legs to have installed on this dining table. The pictured table legs are included in the quoted price shown here as an example, but this is fully customizable. We offer a range of powder coated metal legs and bases, as well as the option for wooden legs or bases as well. Most metal legs and table bases are powder coated black, but other custom color options can be selected to fit your requirements or design vision (this may require a small additional cost and production time, for the powder coating process). If you wish to turn this table top into a convertible sit-stand desk, we also offer high quality options for motorized sit-standing desk bases.
Hidden C-Channel Support Inlays
The table is supported by inlaid c-channel supports on the underside for long term strength and rigidity. Wood tends to naturally move over time seasonally and as humidity adjusts throughout the year, and while these supports are not strictly necessary, we build heirloom quality pieces that are meant to be passed down, and we feel these may provide a small measure to help normalize against this expected wood movement over the years.
Hand Rubbed VOC-Free Natural Finish
No color additives or stains are used, and this table features a hand rubbed finish called Rubio MonoCoat, which is durable, easy to apply, and easy to maintain (as well as spot fix and refinish). Rubio MonoCoat is a plant-based hardwax oil finish that is VOC-free, meaning there are no harmful volatile organic compounds present, and it is LEED verified. This European style hand rubbed finish offers a natural and subtle soft matte finish, allowing you to feel and smell the natural state of the wood itself. We use Rubio products for a variety of reasons, and find that it is best for both highlighting the natural beauty of wood, as well as ease of maintenance over the life of a piece.
